Black Sands Digital ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Rings Location Tracker NZ mobile application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App includes:

• Personal Data: When you register an account, we collect identifiable information such as your email address and a unique user identifier created via our authentication provider.
• Geo-Location Information: We request access or permission to track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using the App, to provide location-based services (such as the "Location Radar" and verifying your proximity to filming locations to issue digital badges).
• Camera & Media Access: We request access to your device's camera and photo gallery to allow you to take and save photos with custom digital frames. Crucially, these photos remain entirely on your local device. We do not upload, collect, or store your personal photos on our servers.
• Mobile Device Data: We automatically collect device information, such as your mobile device ID, model, operating system, and anonymous crash data/analytics to improve app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we use information collected about you via the App to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Verify your physical presence at designated points of interest.
• Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the App.
• Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. We share your information only with third-party service providers that perform services for us or on our behalf, requiring access to such information to do that work. These include:

• Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication (Firebase Auth) and securely storing your unlocked badges and visited locations (Cloud Firestore).
• Expo: Used for application framework infrastructure, over-the-air updates, and anonymous crash reporting.

4. Your Rights (New Zealand Privacy Act 2020)

In accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and globally recognized privacy standards (such as GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. You also maintain the right to withdraw your consent for location tracking at any time via your device's system settings.

5. Account and Data Deletion

You maintain full control over your data. You can delete your account and permanently erase your visited history at any time. To do this:

• Open the Rings Location Tracker NZ App and navigate to the Settings tab.
• Tap on Account.
• Select Delete Account & Data and confirm your choice.

Upon confirmation, your email, unique identifier, and location history are permanently expunged from our active Firebase databases.

6. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
